The American Chamber of Commerce in Angola (AmCham-Angola) is a non-profit membership organization committed to further developing commerce between the United States of America and Angola, promoting the interests of U.S. companies and members, and improving the business environment in Angola.
AmCham-Angola is affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which is the largest business organization in the world, founded in 1912 by then-President William Taft, which today represents the interests of more than three million American companies globally.
AmCham-Angola was founded in July 2017 as a non-profit association and operates without financial assistance from any government. There are over 121 AmChams operating in 118 worlwide and 21 in AFRICA.
Through its elective board of directors, committees and forums as well as its affiliation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and network of AmChams around the world, AmCham-Angola serves as a representative voice for U.S businesses and its members, facilitating and promoting the commercial, economic, educational and cultural ties between U.S. and Angola.
